Have you ever left the house without jewelry and felt totally naked? Or maybe just a little off? If you’re like me, you need your accessories to feel like you’re put together. I think that a totally basic outfit can have its own level of chic-ness (that’s a word, right?) with just the right accessories. It’s all in how you style them. One thing that can totally upgrade your look is styling that perfect arm stack. Pairing just the right bracelets with your watch is an art, and with the right formula, it’s a look you can create over and over again. So let’s talk about how you can style that pinterest-worthy, perfect arm stack.
Styling the perfect arm stack with JORD Watches.
Start with your statement piece
I like to think of the watch as the starting point for your stack. It’s really the focal point or the statement piece, and your bracelets are in the background to support the star of the show. I started my stack with my JORD watch. JORD watches are an amazing brand of luxury wood watches that are handcrafted. Mine is the Frankie 35, and I’m in LOVE with it! It’s super comfortable, and I love the contrast of the colorful face with the dark wood. JORD wood watches offer mens’ watches along with women’s watches, and are definitely statement pieces.
I also think your watch determines the “vibe” of your stack. Maybe your watch is really glitzy and glam? The rest of your accessories in your stack will need to bring their own kind of glam to the table. Maybe you’ve got a really neutral watch with a leather band or a camel color? Your bracelets could have more of a neutral tone, or at least could fit in with the neutral color palette. This could mean you stick with just metals. It’s all about the type of look you’re trying to achieve.
Add something minimal
Some of the simplest pieces can really make those statement pieces shine. This minimal bangle is perfect for creating a layered look without taking away from the bolder pieces. Having something minimal allows you to balance out your stack. If all your pieces are really chunky and bold, you have the potential for your look to look too crowded and over the top. Having some thinner bangles or more delicate bracelets to layer in will support your larger pieces and pull together your stack. This helps to create a more pulled together look, without looking too gaudy.
Add a pop of color
Adding a pop of color that ties in well with your statement piece is going to really elevate your look, while drawing the eye to your stack. Think about what you’re trying to achieve with your stack. With the color scheme of my watch, focusing on neutrals with pops of blue or green will really tie in well with the face of my JORD watch. Not to mention the contrast between the dark wood and the blue stone beads in my bracelet will be perfect for creating almost an earthy look.
Add some sparkle
If you know me, you know I’m all about the sparkle! I always need some kind of shine for my look. This bangle with my birthstone charm will be a great tie in to add some sparkle in a subtle way. Because this look is a more subdued look with the wood and the natural stones, too much rhinestone or sparkle would be too much for the look I’m trying to achieve. A really shiny and glitzy look would look great with a watch that has a gold or a silver band. This would be a time when you may want to really add a lot of sparkle to your look, like incorporating a rhinestone pave link bracelet or a really shimmery cuff. I think it’s all about your starting point, and how that leads the look of the bracelets you pair it with.
Put them in the right order
Now, we just need to layer the bracelets in the right order. It might take a couple of tries to get it exactly how we want it. I think a good rule of thumb is to try and space out your larger chunkier bracelets with the minimal bracelets. It helps to create that balanced, layered look. I think it also keeps you from having too many of the same types of bracelets right next to each other. Like for example, maybe you have two cuffs in your stack. You may not want to have two cuffs side by side. You probably want to space them out, and put a different bracelet between them, so you have a bit more variety. We want more a mix and match style than a uniform look. It just takes moving the bracelets around to find that perfect arrangement. Once you’ve got them the way you like them, you’ve finished styling the perfect arm stack!
I hope this post helped you figure out how you can be styling the perfect arm stack. I’m so excited to wear my stack with my JORD watch this fall. I’m in love with this watch, and it is the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe.
