There’s only two week’s until Christmas and our holiday festivities begin this weekend! I can’t believe how fast the holidays are flying by this year. If you’ve already got parties on the calendar then you’re probably already taking a mental inventory of what’s in your closet and what you’re going to wear for all the shindigs you’ve got planned this year. Sound familiar? Yeah, me too. So, I’ve put together a couple of holiday looks that are perfect for your casual Christmas gatherings or a dressier holiday dinner party. These holiday outfit ideas are festive and fashionable, because let’s face it, during the holidays you gotta have both!
I usually have several family holiday parties, and most of the time we keep those pretty casual. This look is something really simple that you could totally put together with pieces you may already have in your closet. A pair of dark wash skinny jeans, Over the knee black boots, a black long sleeve top, a black coat, and this red plaid scarf are perfect for creating a very classic look that feels very festive. I think scarves in general look super chic, and can make even a very simple look feel pulled together and very elegant. So, I love that simply adding this festive scarf automatically makes this look feel like the holidays without being too over the top.

Fancy and Festive Look
Maybe you’ve got a holiday dinner party coming up and jeans just aren’t going to cut it? A simple dress with the right accessories can be the perfect fit. This cranberry colored shift dress is great for the holidays because the color feels right for the holiday season, and the long sleeves are a must in my book with the chill in the air. To dress it up and give it a bit more interest, I layered this sherpa vest. I think vests are a great way to step up a very simple look during the holidays, and I think that because this one is a bit longer, it definitely feels slimming. I think that finding a classic dress that you can layer with a vest or a jacket is a very stylish way to take a very basic outfit up a notch. Paired with an eye-catching necklace and booties, this look is perfect for any after dark holiday party.
